About "MIRADAS"...

It is not what you say. What is important is what you want to express. It is not so much about what we see but about how we want to see it.
Music allows us to look without looking, to look within, and pause to look calmly, in harmony with nature, or to observe, from within, the gaze of the other, perceive reality with their gaze.
Thanks to music it is possible to look again without thinking, without words -as a child does. We feel that we can look beyond what we are used to seeing, with our inner brightness, and discover that there is only one light and infinite ways of looking.

Miradas is my fourth music album. I composed the songs included in this work at different times in my musical career, between 1991 and 2019. The virus paralyzed our lives and interrupted the audiovisual project "Soundscapes" on which I had been working for months, so it was the weeks of confinement in 2020 and everything I experienced in them that led me to embark on this project. The challenges have been to work on the musical production and arrangements (in which NACHO SERRANO has collaborated), updating some compositions and demos that had not yet been released and organizing the face-to-face and remote recordings.

Several musicians have collaborated on the recording, including SANTIAGO PUENTE (clarinet), PAULA CAMPOS & CARLOS CALVO (flute), MARIO SANJUAN (drums), ROGER SUBIRANA (piano), SANDRA LOPEZ (violin), CRISTOBAL CABALLERO (double bass) and NACHO SERRANO (bass guitar). Most of the album has been recorded in my personal studio in Cabanillas del Campo, with collaborations from Valdetorres de Jarama, Vilafranca del Penedès, Oslo & Guadalajara.
